Ryan Hanson

Welcome to my website! I am currently an Assistant Professor of Teaching in Economics at the University of Tennessee - Knoxville. I specialize in teaching Monetary Policy and Banking, Principles and Advanced Macroeconomics, and Introductory Microeconomics, but have experience in a wide variety of content.

 

I obtained my Ph.D. in Economics from the Gatton College of Business and Economics at the University of Kentucky (2022). I received my M.S. in Economics from the University of Kentucky (2017) and B.A. in Economics, Mathematics, and Spanish from Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky (2016).

My main research focuses on macroeconomics and energy economics but I also have interests in industrial organization and labor.
